About Me

Hello Everyone! My name is Selin. I was born in 1994 and my hometown is İzmir. I used to live in İzmir until 2012. I completed my primary and secondary education in İzmir. In 2012, I came to Cyprus,which is an island in the Mediterranean Sea, to complete my university education. Now, I am a second year EFL student in METU NCC. Being an EFL student is a great opportunity for me to develop a new sense of human relationships.That's why I am so glad that I have choosen to study Teaching English as a Foreign Language department especially in a prominent school like METU. Let me tell you about my hobbies. I love travelling a lot and learning about new cultures. Maybe this is one of the reasons that I decided to study abroad. Moreover, I am very much fond of listenin to music and going to cinema. Recently, I do lots of sports and take long walks around the campus. I like these activities as they all make me feel more energetic. Probably, most of my friends would say my mostly over-used saying is that "We'll manage it any way." I have this optimistic view over life and obstacles we encounter on our path. My all-time role model is my English teacher who teach me at high school. Maybe, it was one of the reasons that I decided to become an English teacher as I was so inspired by her by all means such as in human relations, classroom managament etc. As a prospective English teacher, I hope I will be an effective teacher like her. My future plans are not strictly definite yet, but I have thoughts such as getting a M.A degree and then working to save some money for running my own business.
